Maintenance

Maintenance is responsible for performing regular preventative maintenance on tools, machines/equipment and plant facilities including inspections and keeping records up to date.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Perform regular preventative maintenance on tools, machines/equipment, and plant facilities.
  • Conduct routine inspections of premises and equipment.
  • Diagnose problems as they arise, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
  • Report faulty operations, defective tools/equipment and/or unusual situations to supervisor.
  • Maintain equipment parts & supplies inventories. Check stock; determine inventory levels, anticipating needed parts & supplies.
  • Record repairs on work orders for all completed repairs
  • Opening & closing of facilities
  • Pick ups/deliveries, local & otherwise
  • Clean-up & organization of Maintenance room
  • Follow all workplace safety policies, and compliance regulations.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • Mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
  • Use a variety of hand & power tools and material handling equipment to perform duties.
  • General knowledge and/or experience in welding & metal fabrication
  • Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and to perform required maintenance/repairs.
  • Ability to write out Purchase orders and work orders on completed repairs.
  • Experience in operating forklifts (Operator certificate required)
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
  • Able to project a positive attitude.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work as a team.

WORK CONDITIONS:

  • Physical ability to lift minimum 50lbs.
  • Able to operate various tools and equipment.
  • Able to walk and stand for extended periods of time.
  • Overtime as required.
