Saw Operator III – Hundegger
A Saw Operator III (Hundegger) is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Hundegger saw and related equipment. This position supports production by processing material accurately, maintaining production flow, and ensuring all components meet quality and safety standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITY:
- Operate the Hundegger saw and related equipment safely and efficiently.
- Review production drawings, cut lists, and work orders
- Load, position, and process material according to specifications
- Verify dimensions, cuts, notches, and component quality
- Monitor machine performance and production flow
- Perform routine inspections, cleaning, and basic maintenance
- Troubleshoot equipment and production issues as required
- Work closely with production, quality control, maintenance, and engineering teams
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Follow all company safety, quality, and operating procedures
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, cut lists, and production information
- Basic computer skills and ability to work with machine software
- Strong measurement and problem solving skills
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
- Ability to prioritize work and meet production deadlines
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
- Commitment to workplace safety
- Ability to work in fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Experience operating manufacturing, CNC, or automate equipment is considered an asset
- Experience in framing, woodworking, modular construction, or component manufacturing is considered an asset
WORK CONDITIONS & EXPECTATIONS:
- Physical ability to lift up to 50lb
- Able to operate air and power tools
- Able to stand for extended periods of time
- Overtime as required
