Junior Buyer

A Junior Buyer plays a vital role in the procurement process of the organization. The responsibility of this position may include creating purchase orders, developing and maintaining supplier relationships and ensuring timely delivery of products.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Assist with identifying potential suppliers
  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely delivery of products
  • Conduct market research to stay up to date on industry trends
  • Prepare purchase orders and review invoices for accuracy
  • Reviewing and approving purchase orders according to the company’s policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing and deliveries

 

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • Excellent analytical skills to evaluate suppliers and products
  • Ability to coordinate effectively between internal departments and vendors
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience with procurement software preferred
  • Ability to work independently while also supporting a team environment

 

WORK CONDITIONS & EXPECTATIONS:

  • Manual dexterity is required to use desktop computers and peripherals.
  • May be exposed to construction sites and the production area
  • Salary Range: $36,000 – $41,500
  • Opportunity to shift into a Buyer role

Related Purchasing experience would be preferred for the position, but not a requirement. A strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and a positive attitude are an asset for being considered.
