Floor Construction
REPORTS TO: Lead Hand
SUMMARY:
Floor Construction requires the use of hand tools, air tools, and power tools to frame floors for units. Responsibilities include framing of joists, insulating, duct work installation, and full adherence to safety compliance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operate hand tools and power tools.
- Frame floor joists and rim joists to construct the floors for units.
- Insulate floors with foam insulation where required.
- Assist in floor plumbing where required ie. duct work, waterlines. etc.
- Follow all workplace safety policies, and compliance regulations.
- Keep work area organized and clean.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- General building principles and tool knowledge.
- Knowledge of standard measurements.
- Blueprint literate.
- Able to project a positive attitude.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work as a team.
WORK CONDITIONS:
- Physical ability to lift up to 50lb.
- Able to operate power tools.
- Able to operate overhead cranes.
- Able to walk and stand for extended periods of time.
- Overtime as required.
