CNC Operator/Programmer
REPORTS TO:
Lead Hand
SUMMARY:
A CNC Operator uses a computer numerical control router to cut various materials like plastic and wood. Your duties as a CNC operator are to arrange machine setup properly before beginning work, read blueprints as instructions for cutting, and operate the machine safely. This position also requires programming of the machine.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITY:
- Programming of the machine by translating instructions into computer commands
- Setting up machinery and installing tools and attachments
- Measure and verify calculation requirements
- Verify settings by measuring position
- Preparing and loading raw materials onto the machine
- Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations
- Maintain equipment and troubleshoot issues
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
- Minimum 1 year experience
- Read and understand blueprints
- Utilize CAD software
- Knowledge of standard measurements and CNC router
- Able to project a positive attitude
- Mathematically inclined
- Detail orientated with precision control
- Strong work ethic and ability to work as a team
WORK CONDITIONS & EXPECTATIONS:
- Physical ability to lift up to 50lb
- Able to operate power tools
- Able to walk and stand for extended periods of time
- Overtime as required
